Gary Quinn Bio

I started performing at age 4 singing School Days, Take Me Out To The Ballgame, and MacNamara's Band in shows produced by Rochester Area Artists. Studied piano with Patricia Hanson and guitar with Veda Santos.

My first band was the Preechers, with friends from Mcquaid high school (Rochester, NY). Joined The Heard in 1965—we released a record, Laugh with the Wind/Stop It Baby on the Audition label.

I joined Columbia recording artist , The Bluebeats, in 1967. We released several singles on Columbia; on Kapp as The #1, and on Roulette as Moovees.

Spent a year in Europe. Upon returning to NYC I collaborated with Chris Covell and Costas Omero on the rock musical In The Middle. Also during this period, I played in bands in the Northeast including: New England, Lucky, Symphony, and others.

Formed Knots and released a single on the Aqua label of my original tunes: The Virtuoso/Solarcaine in 1979. Wrote and produced with Lawrence Scahill and John Labarbera the self titled Jubilee swing band album in 1981. Also, wrote songs with Greg Walker for national recording artist Duke Jupiter.

Since 1985 I've performed with John Nau as Good Clean Fun and will release a CD of standards and selections from our repertoire in the near future—please check back.

I continue to write and produce in my ProTools home studio and plan a CD of my best original tunes early next year.

I'm always eager to work with others and have done several projects for hire. I write in many styles and my talents include: singing (and arranging vocal parts), midi arranging & sequencing, keyboards, and guitars—all my equipment is in order.
